Nolan is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Conscious Productionz. Nolan is also an ill emcee and producer as well. But don't get it twisted, Nolan is not a producer that raps. He is a rapper that produces. While seducing listeners with his smooth mellow voice, creative wordplay and soulful yet jazzy loops n beats, Nolan is quickly rising as a star in the Hip Hop community. Together with S Dot, they are writing the score for a generation of hip hoppers who are not impressed with chains and rims, but with mic and production skills. Nolan has always been a huge fan of music buying every CD he could get his hands on no matter the genre. He has been freestyling here n there since the age of 6. However, he began officially producing music in 2003 when he linked up with an emcee by the name of Ill Will on E.I.U.'S campus. Together they took the campus by storm with their witty flows and dismantling of opposing emcees. After 4 years of campus success, things took a turn when Nolan was frustrated with the lack of attention his beats were getting from his partner. The two remained close but Nolan had big dreams and a master plan for his music. After discussing the situation and seeing the frustrations he endured, S Dot pushed Nolan to create his own label and push his music independently through digital resources. Though they disagreed on the name, 2007 marked the birth of Conscious Productionz and Nolan as a completely independent brand and name. Both names quickly became synonomous with succes in 2007, as Nolan began to push his beats, showcase his lyrical ability and grow the label with the release of two succesful singles co-written and co-produced by Sandra. Presently referred to as "Nolan the Great," Nolan Proudly represents Chicago's Southside which is evident in almost every song he writes. His music truly represents the awareness or "consciousness" he has of himself, his family, his culture, and his environment. Above all his music is a true representaion of the essence of hip hop. With all the focus and drive, within a short year Nolan is already negotiating a deal with a major label and was able to bring Cypha to the majors with him.
